Week 11 Predictions

November 12, 2008

Week 10 Record: 8-6
Overall Record: 95-48

Thu. Nov 13

N.Y. Jets @ New England- Coach Bill Belicek has had several weeks to groom young QB Matt Cassel and he is responding well. Its tough to pick against a Belicek coached team in a big game against division rivals. This AFC East battle should favor the Patriots at home.

Sun. Nov 16

Denver @ Atlanta- Rookie QB Matt Ryan is playing stellar football right now and the Falcons defense is stepping it up also. Denver has a strong offense but I don’t think their defense can contain Michael Turner and company.  Read more

Week 10 Predictions

November 5, 2008

Week 9 Record: 10-4
Overall Record: 87-42

Thu. Nov 6

Denver @ Cleveland- The Broncos defense has been playing poorly lately and now they are ailing from several key players being injured. I think the Cleveland offense will perform well against that defense and the Browns come away victorious.

Sun. Nov 9

New Orleans @ Atlanta- Both offenses are solid but the ground game for the Falcons should be the difference here. Read more

Week 3 Predictions

September 17, 2008

Week 2 is usually a tough week to pick match-ups because so much can change from week to week. I chose my picks by going with my gut feeling, that worked out for me last week. On to week 3!

Week 2 Record: 14-1
Overall Record: 25-6

Sun. Sep 21

Kansas City @ Atlanta- This game will be closer than many expect, but Kansas City may have their hands full with Falcons RB Michael Turner. The Chiefs may be down to their third string QB and Chiefs RB Larry Johnson is already voicing his concerns about his role in the offense. This could be a long season for Kansas City.  Read more

Fantasy Value of Jonathan Stewart Rising

August 24, 2008

Carolina Panther running back Jonathan Stewart made his first full appearance of the preseason on Saturday night against the Washington Redskins. Stewart has been resting for the majority of preseason as other rookie running backs have been climbing up fantasy rankings. In a few of my earlier posts I’ve been touting Stewart as the rookie of the year and the key to the Panthers success this season. The rookie from Oregon did not disappoint as he rushed for 100 yards and a TD on 10 carries. One of those carries happened to be a 50 yard score.

The Panthers were clicking on all cylinders, their defense, special teams, and offense were all on point against the Skins. Their defense recorded several early sacks and fumble recoveries to set the tone of the game as the Panthers dominated the Redskins 47-3.  Read more

Why the Carolina Panthers can make it to SuperBowl XLIII

July 27, 2008

Sure the NFC has several great teams that are considered better than the Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys, Vikings, Eagles, and SuperBowl Champion Giants are a few teams that are considered superior to the Panthers. However, in the NFL any given team can win on any given day as evidenced by the outcome of SuperBowl XLII when the Giants beat the then “undefeated” Patriots. All the Panthers need to do is make it to the playoffs and then anything can happen. Here are some reasons why I believe the Panthers can make it to the SuperBowl this season.

What qualities must a NFL Championship team have?
